This is the Quidi Vidi Brewery on Quidi Vidi Harbour just outside St. John's, where Iceberg Beer is brewed. One of the largest icebergs ever to collide with Newfoundland ran aground off Twillingate in July. That means there'll be no shortage of Iceberg Beer on The Rock this summer. Alberta's classic railway bridge
High Level Crossing in Lethbridge, Alberta is the longest and highest railway trestle in the world. Although it'll celebrate its 100th birthday in September there is still no speed limit, or weight limit for the dozen or more 2.5-kilometre-long freight trains that cross the bridge each day. You can read all the details at www.travelswithlefty.com.

Spring Is In The Air - For Grizzlies Too
Making A Statement on Canadian Prairies
I am finally home from nearly a year of roaming North America in my small motor home. I've been neglecting this Blog. while on the road, but I hope to drop a photo in here a couple times per day that'll stear you to www.travelswithlefty.com to read about some interesting destinations.
This photo was shot on a backcountry road in Southern Alberta while heading across the prairies to see the world's longest and highest railway trestle. This big antelope buck grew tired of me pacing him along the prairie and stopped to let me know.
Hunters pay $10,000/week U.S. to stalk big bucks like this guy. I hope they get the same attitude from him.

ATLANTA - Cleaning windows is a dangerous job
Keeping the windows clean in the world's largest aquarum can be a dangerous job. Window cleaners are accompanied by a body guard carrying a sharp stick. That's because they clean the windows from inside the massive fish tanks, surrounded by sharks, sting rays, baracudas and lots of other inquisitive sea creatures.

Atlanta has a warm welcome for Canadians
Millions of Canadians roll down Interstate 75 each fall and winter seeking warmth in Florida. But you won't find a warmer reception anywhere than at Ebenezer Baptist Church, a couple blocks off I-75 in the heart of Atlanta. This is Dr. Martin Luther King's church and all are welcome to their Sunday services. It's a fun time.
This statue out front of the church depicts the birth ritual in Africa. It was commissioned by Coretta King after the assination of her husband on April 4, 1968.
